This is a featured lesson plan of Speak Truth to Power (STTP) Human Rights Education Program, which is centered around the stories of human rights defenders from around the world. The Nobel Peace Prize 1994 was awarded to Shimon Peres for his efforts to create peace in the Middle East. Through understanding of Shimon Peres’ interpretation of peace, students will create a class definition of peace and develop a “blueprint for peace”, which is used to to resolve an issue among students or the community.
