The purpose of this toolkit is to provide a structured teaching guide (with lesson plans) for educators who are implementing the W4R campaign in their classrooms. The first half of the toolkit includes an overview of the W4R campaign with information on how to participate through writing letters, an introduction to 2018 W4R campaign on women human rights defenders (WHRDs), background information on WHRDs, and activities to support teaching and learning about WHRDs. The second half of the toolkit delves into key human rights and individuals who are profiled as a part the 2018 W4R campaign. This section includes a warm-up, an activity, and information on how to take action for each WHRD profiled.
