What do human rights have to do with it?: Links between the university and the human rights regime in Empancipatory Human Rights and the University

The chapter explores how binding international human rights laws as well as ‘soft policies’ related to the right to education and non-discrimination apply to the higher education sector. The chapter concludes with a reflection on the implications of holding higher education practices accountable to human rights standards and areas for further research.
