The goal of this publication is to make international human rights treaties more known and particularly those that consider teaching and education as effective means to shape international human rights standards into reality. The publication is divided into two parts. The first addresses the legal character of international documents on intercultural education. The second part discusses the implications of these international documents, including the obligations and responsibilities for educational authorities, responsibility of schools and teachers and obligations and responsibilities for teacher education.
