This toolkit is designed to assist programme planners and managers in designing, conducting, and evaluating advocacy campaigns to advance the implementation of existing policies, with a specific focus on young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights. It outlines key issues involved in each step of the advocacy process and offers suggestions and tips for conducting an advocacy campaign to advance the implementation of existing policies and guidelines. In addition, the toolkit provides prototype tools, including worksheets, discussion guides, a training guide, and a radio programme guide, that can be used or adapted for similar efforts in other settings such as maternal health, gender-based violence, access to anti-retrovirals (ARVs), child marriage, and many other issues.
