This book aims to provide information on how companies are trying to implement human rights principles. It provides informative examples of how companies from different sectors and in different political and geographic contexts have already benefited from human rights guidance and how they have contributed to upholding these rights based on the ten principles of the Global Compact. True to the United Nations’ Global Compact’s multi-stakeholder approach, the contributors to the book offer a broad range of perspectives on the issues at hand. The annexes include the text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the matrix of the human rights compliance assessment.
