These lesson plans are designed to help students ages 11-14 think about the place of rights in their own lives and see how young people from around the world are claiming theirs. Through active learning activities such as simulation games and group work, these lessons aim to help students explore issues such as equality, the right to education, and the balance between rights and responsibilities. Some activities are designed based on case studies from South Africa, Lebanon, and Ethiopia. These materials also link lesson outcomes with curriculum requirements in England, Scotland and Wales.
