The Four Freedoms Summer Program is an annual summer series of human rights courses for students and practitioners organized by HREA and University College Roosevelt (UCR). These courses encapsulate Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s fundamental values of human rights and global citizenship.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms were a major inspiration for the modern human rights movement. They were incorporated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) as drafted by the UN Commission on Human Rights, chaired by Eleanor Roosevelt.The Four Freedoms Program takes place from 23 June-10 July 2015 at the UCR campus in Middelburg (The Netherlands).
