This resource pack aims at helping parents, children, teachers, unions, communities, and local organisations to collectively monitor and improve the quality of public education. It begins with a Charter of ten key education rights that enable all children to acquire a quality education. This is followed by a description of the participatory methodology for using the Charter. The main section of the pack is a series of education- and rights-based indicators organised in a survey format to enable users to capture information in a systematic manner. There is also a compilation of key international human rights references related to children and education.
