This toolkit is part of the Haki Zetu handbook series for NGOs and CBOs working with local activists and development workers in African communities to raise awareness of the right to education, thereby tackling social and economic problems. The booklet is divided into three sections and five appendices. Section one provides an overview of the right to education, section two gives advice on how to negotiate the right to education (identifying the State’s obligations, how to identify violations), and section three outlines strategies to monitor and defend the right to education.
