This gender awareness pack is one of seven documents that make up a toolkit designed as part of Amnesty International’s Stop Violence Against Women campaign. It is intended to be used by human rights educators and trainers conducting human rights workshops. This pack is divided into two modules. The first asks for personal reflection on the construction of gender and outlines the link between gender-based discrimination and violence against women. The second examines the place of women’s rights within the human rights framework. These materials are written for adults, but many activities can be adapted for a younger audience.
