This manual is meant to support gender experts and staff members of development organizations in South America, the Horn of Africa, Western, Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa, South Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East in self-assessing their gender mainstreaming competence and implementing their organizations’ gender leadership trajectory. Arranged for a workshop setting, the manual guides the assessment process step-by-step through questions and discussions. A variety of participatory and inclusive methods are used.
