This excellent publication is an initial attempt at developing human rights teaching guides for Southeast Asian schools. It is based on the experience of educators in the sub-region in teaching human rights. It is the result of a continuing partnership among educators and institutions in Southeast Asia. It provides a curricular framework and Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The book offers 20 lesson plans for primary and secondary school level to be incorporated in subject matters like civic education, home economics, moral education, physical education and health, science, social studies. Includes the full text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child and an introduction to human rights terminology.
