This is a comprehensive assessment of human rights education in Armenia intended to be used as a basis for the development of a national strategy and plan for human rights education. The objective of the study was to assess human rights education activities in Armenia in the framework of the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education with a focus on existing programmes for human rights education and curricula at all levels of formal education for all groups and programs for continuing professional development. The assessment also focuses on the overall organisational and financial support for human rights education in Armenia, the availability to the Armenian public of human rights publications, and analyses of national plans and of all legal norms pertaining to human rights education in Armenia.
