HREA’s Board met for its annual retreat in Cambridge on 15-16 June. The Board welcomed new Board members André Keet (South Africa), Brenda Matthis (USA) and Ana María Rodino (Costa Rica). Board members discussed ongoing Board matters, current developments in human rights education around the world, and elements of the new HREA strategic plan (2014-2018). Other agenda itmes of the annual retreat were a mid-term review of HREA’s strategic plan (2009-2013) and long-term financial sustainability of the organisation.
Senior staff joined the annual retreat to update Board members on major HREA programme areas.
