HREA is committed to protecting your on-line privacy. The following information is collected on the HREA web site:
1. Anonymous user data on visitors of the HREA sites
Anonymous data are collected automatically about site visitors, such as the number of views per page, Internet service provider, browser type and the site they came from. Because we do not require users to register these statistics are our primary basis for assessing traffic patterns. We do not use so-called "cookies" or similar tracking technologies to collect information about site visitors. This kind of anonymous data is collected in the aggregate and does not tell us any information about a visitor as an individual. We will not sell or provide this information to third parties.
2. E-mail list subscriptions and services
When joining one of HREA's listservs or mailing lists, your e-mail address will be added to our subscriber databases. Your e-mail address will be used exclusively for the purpose of sending you messages from the listserv/mailing list you subscribed to. You will not be contacted in any other way, nor will your information be offered to a third-party. We will not exchange or rent your e-mail address to other organisations.
Data submitted via the user surveys on our site will only be used to help us improve our web site and services. We will not exchange or rent your information to other organisations.
Finally we collect data on the use of our GetWeb Web-to-email service. Again, these data will only be used to improve this service; this information will not be shared with other organisations.
3. On-line orders and financial contributions
When you purchase HREA publications on our site, we collect payment and shipping information from you. We will not release that information to third parties. E-mail addresses provided by a customer will be used only to communicate about the customer's order. Customer postal addresses will never be exchanged with other organisations. If you use a credit card on our website, we will use that information only for that transaction. We will not store the information. Your credit card information is processed via our secure server that will protect your data and privacy.
When you make a contribution to HREA on-line, we collect personal information on the contribution form. This information will not be shared with third parties.
