NPTALK Electronic Forum Description

Welcome to the NPTALK, the discussion list for the Nonprofits'
Policy and Technology (NPT) Project at OMB Watch. NPTALK is an
electronic forum for professionals, experts, researchers, and
advocates interested in the issues related to how nonprofit
organizations utilize information technologies in their public
policy activities. This list will also serve as a primary
vehicle for discussion and dialogue concerning the NPT Project.
This is a moderated discussion list, and will be distributed in
digest form at most once a day to subscribers.


BASIC POSTING RULES
Postings should be in text-only format, with no HTML coding.

Messages quoting previously posted messages should keep quotes to a
reasonable length.

Messages should be in English or accompanied by an English
translation

Hateful, rude, or discourteous posts will not be tolerated.
Threatening speech will be reported.

Please do send attachments or multi-part messages to the list.

Research Findings about Advocacy or Technology

Request for Contributions of Information

Calls for advice and suggestions for how-to resources and materials

Announcement of public policy or advocacy campaigns and resources

Announcement of relevant public policy and technology resources,
including technology products, websites, listservs, and media
resources. (Announcements of free or low cost resources and
services are especially welcome.)


UNACCEPTABLE TOPICS

Advertisement of Commercial Products or Services

Fundraising Appeals  (although discussions about funding
advocacy would be appropriate)
