This module reports on results of various workshops on legal reforms and the role of the judiciary held in Sri Lanka and India. It includes three lessons for training of lawyers, judges and prosecutors. The theme is due process and the right to a fair trial. Lesson 1: Improving investigations and prosecutions; lesson 2: Technology to deal with delays in adjudication; lesson 3: Police reforms as pre-requisite for the proper use of forensic facilities.
